Does Captain America have Super Powers? - TVStoreOnline

What is Captain America About?  That depends on how you define super powers. Batman doesn’t have superhuman abilities so one would be able to build a case for the Dark Knight not having super powers more readily than for Captain America. By ways of the Super Soldier Serum and Vita Rays, Captain America has bona fide, easily distinguishable super powers. So in short, yes, the Cap has super powers.  He possesses physical strength and reflexes far beyond those of normal men. His intelligence, physical agility, stamina, and fighting abilities similarly have been augmented to the peak of human perfection, enabling Captain America to be a kind of one-man wrecking ball knocking down droves of Nazi and Hydra goons like they’re bowling pins. In some scenes in the comics, we can see the Cap overcoming the strength of a dozen normal soldiers. And in one instance, he stands firm and strong against the entire world – with a stern face, the Cap calmly states:  “Doesn’t matter what the press says. Doesn’t matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn’t matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tress beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world – “no, YOU move.”  Captain America’s powers can also mask his greatest super power: his honor. The Cap’s loyalty to the Star Spangled Banner is both his power as well as the source he draws his power from. The American ideal fuels the Captain’s leaps, bounds, punches, kicks, and devastating shield throws. He believes in America, and all that she stands for. He stand for truth and justice.
